How to access online courses from Te Kura Aho o Te Kura Pounamu

We are working on making available ClassroomNZ2020, a new platform with a range of online courses, as an interim support for learners until the end of February 2021.

Online courses that cover a wide range of NCEA subjects and levels will be made available over the coming weeks.

The use of ClassroomNZ2020 is optional and is not intended to replace existing Learning Management System (LMS) platforms schools may be using.

These online courses with assessments were developed by Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) and will be made available as an interim support up to the end of February 2021. The resources are aligned with the NZ Curriculum, meet NCEA requirements and can be used to supplement schools’ curriculum content.

Details of the content of Te Kura’s NCEA courses, including the achievement standards they support, can be found on Te Kura’s website. We will make available almost all of the NCEA courses that assess learning through achievement standards.

To access ClassroomNZ2020, schools and wharekura will need to provide staff, student, and course enrolment data to the Ministry. We will be providing support to schools and wharekura to do this, alongside support to students and teachers on how to use Classroom2020. We will provide information on this process here soon.
